“seamlessly weaves personal anecdotes with complex cultural and political themes”
★★★★ The Skinny
“uncensored, unapologetic and...
wildly refreshing”
★★★★ Broadway Baby
“honest and revealing comedy…
both poignant and funny”
★★★★ ShortCom
With an inimitable delivery, quick wit and engaging persona, this Swedish-Chinese stand-up has garnered fans world wide with her honest and self-referential comedy. Unapologetically, Mok explores topics from intersectionality, cultural differences and living up to transgenerational expectations.
Appearing on British shows Mock the Week (BBC), Hypothetical (DAVE) and starring in IFS (SVT), Överlevarna (SVT) and Kurs i Självutplåning (SVT) in her native Sweden, this multi-award winning comic is certainly living up to Time Out Magazine’s pick as ‘One to Watch’ and “proves herself to have an ambition, originality and wit that augurs well” (The Times).
"Really funny, really rude but also refreshingly honest and smart"
